Every year, the Gala de la Palme Bleue is an opportunity to award the Prix de la Palme Bleue to the Business of the Year, recognizing an entrepreneur’s innovation, growth, responsibility and involvement in the Greater Vancouver Francophone community.
The Prix de la Palme Bleue competition aims to highlight the dynamism and success of companies that stand out and excel in their industry. It also aims to reward companies that are solidly established, in good financial health and whose reputation rely on quality and service.

2023 Winners
Nihal Elwan is the founder of Tayybeh Foods, a Vancouver-based Syrian social enterprise, catering service and food producer. Tayybeh Foods’ mission is to engage newly arrived women from Syria, who fled the civil war, promote their financial independence, create social connections and support the building of their new lives here, while using their culinary talents and their traditional cuisine.
Founded by Ingrid Broussillon, Griottes Polyglottes uses improvisation and theater to help children, immigrants and businesses push beyond their conscious and unconscious limits. Through improvisation and fun activities, Griottes Polyglottes helps facilitate the integration of immigrants in British Columbia by helping them develop their oral confidence in French and English, boost self-confidence, improve cohesion teamwork by breaking down linguistic and cultural barriers, and equipping young people to fight racism in the school environment.
2022 Winner
Colienne Regout blends her research, operations and user experience expertise at Look4Loops to regenerate business models for profit, people and planet. Her unique perspective on the circular economy is grounded in both her European and Canadian experience.
Besides operating changes in the field, education is a big part of what Colienne does:
she is the host of the Unboxing Your Packaging podcast,
she created the ‘Develop Circular Packaging Solutions’ online training in collaboration with the Circulab Academy,
she sub-teaches at BCIT School of Business,
and she also facilitates workshops and serious games about climate change and the circular economy.
As a Circulab certified consultant, she benefits from shared knowledge and co-developed tools thanks to a community of over seventy worldwide colleagues.
2021 Winner
Founded in 2006 by Werner de Schaetzen P.Eng., GeoAdvice Engineering Inc. is a civil engineering consulting firm located in Vancouver, BC. They are a team of water resource engineers who provide consulting services for urban infrastructure modeling, planning, analysis, and optimization to municipalities across Canada and worldwide.
A growing company, GeoAdvice is the only company in Canada that offers the full suite of advanced engineering-focused modeling services, training, and tools for sanitary sewer, drainage, and water distribution systems. GeoAdvice staff members are also certified hydraulic modeling instructors and have trained over 3,000 engineers.
2019 Winners
Helina Patience, CPA, CMA is the Managing Director of Entreflow Consulting Group, a Finance, HR and Marketing consulting firm specializing in startups and high-growth companies in the manufacturing sector.
She has almost 15 years of experience in finance and human resources, with experience established in the UK, Ireland, India and Canada. Helina administered human resources and payroll for multinational companies before working as a Financial Analyst at Lululemon.
She joined Entreflow 4 years ago and leads a team of 15 consultants who dedicate their expertise to implementing innovative strategies to achieve her clients’ objectives.
After having worked in banks, insurance companies and in the business world for more than 20 years, Jocelyne Devisser decided to start her own business in 2012.
Today, after realizing that small business managers, especially solo entrepreneurs, lack management knowledge and very often struggle with administrative management, Jocelyne decided it was time to do something about it.
She has developed an educational program empowering entrepreneurs, which teaches them how to organize themselves, control their accounting records and everything a business owner needs to know to be financially competent and successful in business.
Rita opened her business, North Horizon Immigration Consulting Inc., in September 2014 to provide representation services to people who want to immigrate to Canada. She offers her services to families, young professionals and entrepreneurs from all over the world.
His team is also dedicated to encouraging French-speaking immigrants to settle in provinces outside Quebec to maintain the presence of French in predominantly English-speaking Canadian communities. Her team employs mostly immigrant and francophone women to reflect the support of this language and culture.
2018 Winners
When Sylvie Peltier founded Red Letter Films, she worked primarily as a documentary filmmaker. Soon, she fell in love with the role of producer. With the help of many talented collaborators, she embarked on more ambitious projects, from docudrama to documentary. While working on a project, Sylvie met Greg Nosaty. Two years later, they ran into each other and their lives mingled, making Red Letter Films the company it is today.
Carole Ducharme is a real estate agent with Sutton Group West Coast Realty. She helps her French and English clients to buy, sell and invest in real estate. Nearly half of her clients are Francophones. Formerly a lawyer, Carole now guides her clients with professionalism and ease and advises them wisely. She even managed to make the process enjoyable! Carole is often interviewed in French-language media, including Radio-Canada, on real estate issues.
2017 Winners
Launched in 2011 by Tyson Villeneuve and his partner, The Social Concierge is an event and branding agency. Their agency specializes in the creation and design of unique events aimed at creating moments of happiness and memories of a lifetime. They set the stage for great stories and personal highlights through their premium, accessible and immersive cultural experiences. They also offer a portfolio of events created internally with designers and tailor-made programs for special guests, both locally and abroad. Passionate about promoting creativity, culture, the arts and our social fabric, they produce on average between 30 and 40 events per year, divided between customer projects such as Porsche, Nike, Veuve Clicquot, Lululemon and Cirque Du Soleil and their own portfolio of events. While The Social Concierge always strives to create inspiring events, they are best known for Diner-en-blanc, Harvest Haus, Deighton Cup, TEDx Vancouver and Dinner By Design. Some of these events are now taking place in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. In addition to his creative efforts, Tyson also sits on the BC Culture Days Steering Committee, is a clear supporter of the arts and encourages the dissemination of French language and culture through his various projects with the Alliance Française De Vancouver, in especially the Diner-en-blanc Vancouver.
Started in 2013, Provence en couleur Home Decor offers a handcrafted collection of products imported from Provence and kitchen utensils in olive wood, entirely handmade and made in France. Eric Mourre is from a village called Dieulefit in Drôme Provençale, known for his extraordinary pottery. His family began producing pottery in 1942. Today, Eric wants people to discover the “know-how” of an entire region by presenting their products in North America. Because he has a particular knowledge of the manufacturing process and the place of production, artisans of Provence gave him the exclusivity for the distribution and promotion of these products in North America. With “Provence in Color Home Decor”, people will discover a range of high quality craftsmanship, 100% made in France and with respect for nature and the environment.

Ten Ten Tapas is Vancouver’s premier tapas restaurant. It is a family restaurant founded by Derek & Diane Oelmann. After a career in the Tech industry for Derek and running a top-tier condo company for Diane, the mother-son team embarks on a new adventure and opens their tapas restaurant on the edge of False Creek.
Originally from Montreal, they created this restaurant inspired by the famous Montreal clubs, where good food, wine and “live” music are enjoyed among friends.
In addition to a menu consisting of delicious homemade tapas every day, the bistro has a superb terrace with a view of False Creek. They offer personalized service with great passion whether it is to celebrate a party, enjoy an evening with friends or office colleagues and make it a memorable and unforgettable experience.
Founded in 2011 by Anthony Taylor, SME Strategy works with SMBs, non-profits, governments and business associations to guide them through their strategic planning process, help them make better decisions and achieve their goals. organizational goals.

Faubourg Paris was founded in 2010 by Franck Point, trained at the Lenôtre school and the National Bakery and Pastry Institute.
The Faubourg Paris bakery and tea room was an immediate success with more than 123,000 croissants sold in the first year of opening. The success of Faubourg is also recognized by the local and national press. The Globe and Mail awards Faubourg the distinction of best croissant and best pain au chocolat in Vancouver.
Faubourg also offers catering services for special events and business meetings.
A company founded in 2011 by Nicolas Rousseau, ByNature is the reference in the field of interior greening.

Founded in 2007, Flow Home Staging & Design specializes in home staging and interior design. Its founder Isabelle Guay and her team of experts offer a full range of services including consultation, interior decoration, renovation, interior design, personalized shopping and home staging.
Their services are aimed at both sellers and buyers of residential property. They also now offer services for commercial projects such as restaurants or professional offices.
CDA Training & Development, founded by Carla Abichahine, offers mental health first aid training services across Canada and in both official languages. They train employees, as well as individuals, to develop the necessary skills so that they can help those around them, professional or personal, in times of need or crisis. They also help companies develop Human Resources strategies integrating mental health first aid courses.
